These are very, very old machines. Old machines can get quite dry and quite stuck. Diana L. I mostly use Singers so I will try it with my punchcards. I'm intrigued to see how the ribber works without a ribber carriage. The thing the 2500 has that the 2400 doesn't is another needle bed to attach to the front of the regular knitting bed so you can do ribbing and circular knitting. The manual should be the same for the actual knitting machine without the extra bed, and if you google for the manual, I noticed there is a site where you can get a free manual. The ribbing/circular knitting attachment has a separate manual from the knitting machine itself.Annettenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7526470724880886986.post-71927153428990810502016-04-25T10:32:00.884-05:002016-04-25T10:32:00.884-05:00I have already sent you, please check the Spam, ju...I have already sent you, please check the Spam, just in case.virtudeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14544676978189019949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7526470724880886986.post-17139273988124965532016-04-25T10:18:00.191-05:002016-04-25T10:18:00.191-05:00Puedo mandarte el manual ( es un PDF) por e-mail. ...Puedo mandarte el manual ( es un PDF) por e-mail. I really did get the impression that this machine was originally imported into the U.K., just based on the manual I found that was printed in England. I never did see a model number on the thing, though. Diana L. After the KE2400 came the 2500 and the 2600 but the method of knitting with the punchcards stayed exactly the same with the carriage having the patterning slot for the punchcard rather than it being situated on the back of the needle bed. Some interesting features about these machines is that Knitting lace is exactly the same as the Brother Knitting Machines. The main knitting carriage selects the needles first and then the Lace Carriage transfers the stitches. The Toyota Knit Copy also fits the machines by slotting in the small brackets by the carrying handle. My machine went off to 'Tools with a Mission' charity when I bought my Silver Reed Sk280 Knitting machine with the LC2 one action lace carriage. I am sure you will enjoy knitting with the machine as it produces some wonderful knitting. Kindest regards Anne Disaldohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10311743702693683818noreply@blogger.com
