I love this idea, and soooo wish you had posted it a week earlier, LOL. I"ve been making baby photo prop hats with many different textured yarns. I add rows of bobbles, and rows of chained loops, but I couldn't figure a way to make a fringe as I knit, unless I cut the yarn at the end of each fringe chain. I'm going to try this with just two strands since I want it fine and delicate.
