New Video - Singer System 9000

Even with all the busy-ness of this weekend, I just couldn't resist trying out knitting on the Singer System 9000.  I haven't even plugged in the computer, motor, or monitor, but I did do the basic stitches in the first manual, and I made a video to share my experience.

UPDATE: The machine was made by Superba, not Madag!

  1. Hi Diana, the machine was actually built by the Superba company in Mulhouse in France.

  2. Hi Diana,
Did you know that there are yarn clips on the brackets either end to hold your yarn, then just slip the yarn in the yarn holder, easier than using the bodkin.

  3. I'll try that, very nice little time saver, I'm sure.

  4. Quite a machine. I know you will enjoy experimenting with it.

WOW, in my mail today was your corrected Enchanted Edgings Book. THANK YOU. A very nice surprise. I must try the Enchanted Forest Scarf again. My first attempts were not successful.

  6. Every one of my current machines was purchased second-hand! They were all in excellent shape when I acquired them.

  7. Are you planning any more videos using the 9000 electronics please?

  8. No, I'm planning to stick with the most widely-used machines. I'm finding far more things that I need to teach than I possibly can, so have to be selective.
