Thank you, Diana, I just bought a Silver Reed Sk280. My knitting machine is on the way (from England to Brazil!), and I start my learning by watching your videos. They are amazing! I have a question about this pattern. Can I use an aran yarn with the Sk280 to make this cable? Sorry for my English, this is not my first language.
I believe the SK280 is a standard gauge machine. The first thing you need to do is get some skinny yarn - much, much thinner than Aran weight. You want fingering weight. You want it to knit 8 stitches to the inch. Otherwise, the machine is going to give you a lot more trouble as you try to learn it! It as designed for thin yarns.
Thank you Diana
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I missed my lk150 so I'm buying another one today!
