I’m getting positive responses on the beginning knitting lessons.
As I build the list of additional beginning lessons and decide what to film next, please send me suggestions as to what you’d like to see me demonstrate for beginners. You can comment here.
The videos have excellent content and quality. There is no glare from the needles! that is wonderful. The only thing that concerns me is that you are not using weights in the knitting. I know with few stitches it is not necessary but it would be good to tell beginners that weights are a must.....keeping stitches nice and down. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, that's a great point, and something I should be explaining! For the early videos where I'm using only a few needles, the comb weighs enough by itself, but it is certainly true that weight are very important when you are using more needles. Diana
I notiice that you are using the single bed cast on comb to weight the work. STUDIO/KNITMASTER owners do not have this and I use a ribber comb instead.[starting on waste]the garter bar info is excellent, and what I would love to see is a 'how to use the stitch transfer gadget, commonly known as JAWS. I can transfer ribber to main bed but doing it from main bed to ribber defeats me!
I'm an avid machine knitter. I was the first YouTube creator to upload free machine knitting lessons. My goal was to get people to see these wonderful machines in action, Consider joining my Facebook group, “Knitting with Diana Sullivan,” where 9,000 members share their projects, ideas, and questions on just one topic: knitting! This is a happy, accepting place to share your MK challenges and projects.
I offer classes and patterns that make knitting easier and more fun, with key techniques shown, plenty of color photos, clear unabbreviated language, meticulous finishing techniques, and inventive solutions for better results.
