New Video for November: Helix Cable

My son Steven, who studied genetic engineering in college, named this cable - Helix.

Give this a try - it's a very easy technique, using idiot cord, that you can do on any Japanese machine.  I suppose you could also do it on a Passap if you can cope with the small gap between the beds.

  1. What a great idea for a scarf or sweater. Your ideas are always great

  2. Diana, you know that you can not see the video?
    thanks Vanda

  3. This is brilliant, thank you Diana!

  4. Diana, thank you so much for showing the helix cable. What a great added texture idea. I saw a similar type cable in a book by hand-knitter Nicky Epstein, but couldn't figure out how to do this on the knitting machine, so you figured it out. Almost gasped when you cut the finished end!! So many design possibilities. Looking forward to the book or DVD on your cable designs!!

  5. Diana,
You have done it again! As always, tasteful, well communicated, clear and helpful. I love your videos!
