    Very awesome and great photos. When I dye my sock yarns it is always a Kool Aid base then I kick it up with some gel food colorings. Using the hot water bath immersing the yarn then letting it cool down works well for me. As socks are laundered so often, I have even re-dyed them to refresh their color using only one packet of the initial Kool-Aid. The socks look great when refreshed.
